Route: Alpje – Bächi Glacier – Firehorn – Galmihorn – Bieligertal – Wasenhorn

The Goms valley, the uppermost and vast Rhone valley in Upper Valais which is enclosed by mighty three-thousanders, extends over 50 km from Brig to Gletsch at the bottom of the Rhone Glacier. The quiet villages in Goms hold many cultural treasures: about 70 Baroque churches and chapels with slim white steeples, but also the old wooden houses and stables built in the Valais style. Close by lies the area of the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn UNESCO World Heritage with the impressive Aletsch Glacier. The Goms region lies along the route of the famous Glacier Express which connects Zermatt with St. Moritz or Davos.
