Route: Tiefmatten Glacier – Stockji Glacier – Glacier de Ferpècle – Glacier du Mont Miné – Glacier d’Aiguille – Aiguille de la Tsa (3,668 m above sea level)

The Zmutt Glacier originates at the foot of the Stockji (3,092 m above sea level) from the convergence of three glacier arms: Tiefmatten Glacier (Dent d'Hérens), Schönbiel Glacier (Dent Blanche), and Stockji Glacier (Tête de Valpelline, 3,799 m above sea level).

The Glacier de Ferpècle (Ferpècle Glacier) is a glacier at the southeastern end of the Val d'Hérens val-ley, southeast of Evolène in the Valais Alps. It has a length of 6 km and covers a surface of 9.5 km². The Ferpècle Glacier originates at the ridge between the Tête Blanche (3,710 m above sea level), across which runs the Swiss-Italian border, and the Dent Blanche. The relatively flat glacier ice field in the upper section is also called Plateau d'Hérens. The Ferpècle Glacier is connected with the system of the Zmutt Glacier via the Col d'Hérens (3,459 m above sea level). It is connected with the Mont Miné Glac-ier via the firn-covered ridge north of the Tête Blanche.

The Glacier Mont Miné (Mont Miné Glacier) is a glacier at the south-southeast end of the Val d'Hérens valley, southeast of Evolène in the Valais Alps. It has a length of 7 km and covers a surface of approx. 10 km².
