Route: Bad Säckingen – Obersäckingen – Sisseln

The Rhine rises in the canton of Graubünden and flows westward through Northern Switzerland. In Basel, the Rhine makes a sharp turn to the north, and the river becomes larger and wider. The river section between Stein am Rhein and Basel is called High Rhine.

Bad Säckingen is located on the German northern bank of the High Rhine and is also called «City of Trumpeters» (German: «Trompeterstadt»). Apart from the health resort, this city also boasts a varied cultural offer and is the ideal starting point for trips to the Black Forest Highlands.
