Route: L’Arse – Albeuve – Fin d’Avau
Haut-Intyamon in the canton of Fribourg is the upper section of the district of La Gruyère and at the same time a municipality. At the valley exit in the north there is the district capital of Bulle (771 m above sea level). The river Saane (French: La Sarine) meanders through La Gruyère. The river rises up the valley at the Sanetschhorn (2,924 m above sea level) and runs through the villages of Gstaad (1,050 m above sea level) in the Bernese Saanenland and Château-d’Oex (958 m above sea level) in the Vaud Pays-d’Enhaut before it traverses La Gruyère and finally joins the Aar west of Bern (540 m above sea level).
The villages of Albeuve (769 m above sea level) and Neirivue (754 m above sea level) belong to the municipality of Haut-Intyamon and lie west of the Saane at the eastern foothills of the panorama mountain Le Moléson (2,002 m above sea level).
