Route: Alpage du Rawil|Wildhorn
The Alpage du Rawil is an alpine high valley which starts south of the Rawil Pass (French: Col du Rawil). It boasts vast alpine pastures interspersed with limestone pavement and debris. The Liène drains the area of the Rawil Pass southwards towards the Rhone.
The Rawil Pass is a 2,429-m-high mountain crossing in the Bernese Alps. The border between the two cantons of Bern and Valais runs across the pass summit. The pass connects Lenk in the Simmental valley with the central Rhone Valley east of Sion. The Rawil Pass separates the Wildhorn range in the west from the Wildstrubel range in the east.
